You may be able to "trick" it. On a windows box I went into my registry and changed

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\LOTUS\Notes\6.0 to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\LOTUS\Notes\5.0

I did this because Intellisync that works with BlackBerry doesn't work with 6 yet...this makes it work no problem. Of course this may have the potential to break something else but I've been using it for a long time now with now issues.
